Sporting Lisbon drawn in Europa League last 16

We have drawn Sporting Lisbon in the last-16 of the Europa League after the draw was made in Switzerland this morning.

After finishing top of a group containing PSV Eindhoven, Bodo/Glimt and FC Zurich earlier in the campaign, we skipped the play-off round to set up this tie with the Portuguese side.

Sporting made their way through the play-off round by knocking out Midtjylland. After a goalless draw at the Estadio Jose Alvalade, they responded by winning 4-0 in Denmark to advance. They had previously played in the Champions League this season, and finished third in a group containing Tottenham Hotspur, Eintracht Frankfurt and Marseille to move into the Europa League.
